Additional Notes
-
Approval is required for all summer enrichment courses.
-
If a student takes a summer enrichment core course through an approved and accredited external program, it will not be on their PHS transcript. The student will receive a stand alone transcript from that program that can be included when applying for future education after graduation.
-
If a student takes an in-house Parkland School District math course, it will appear on the student's transcript, it will count towards their GPA and the student will receive credit. This is only for current high school students taking a course. If a student takes a summer course as a middle school student, it does not count towards their GPA or as a credit, but it will show up as enrichment on their transcript stating their final grade.
-
Subsequent course scheduling depends on final grades and transcript submission.
-
Changes to summer study plans must be approved by Mrs. Plattner.
