The philosophy of the English Department has always been quite simple. We want all students to be proficient in these areas of English: composition, literature, speech, and vocabulary. In order to achieve this proficiency, students may select from a wide variety of course offerings. If they select wisely and work diligently, they will be well prepared to enter college or the work force.
